What to Have Ready

• What you noticed. Rats in the basement, droppings in the garage, a burrow along the foundation, or a gnawed wire, and when it started.
• Where you see it. Basement, crawlspace, garage, walls, or yard, and whether it is worse now that it has turned cold, which points at Norway rats moving indoors.
